Revolucionize your yoga practice by learning to individualize it according to your current physicality, mood, state of mind, and emotions.
In order to authentically reap the magically inherited benefits of the practice, it is crucial to personalize it for your unique mind-body constitution AKA dosha.
In Ayurveda, the building blocks of life are comprised of five elements: earth, water, fire, air, and ether. The three doshas ´Vata, Pitta, and Kapha—are derived from the five elements. The doshas, known as mind-body types, express particular patterns of energy—each a blend of physical, emotional, and mental characteristics.
Different foods, seasons, exercise, and even yoga poses cause specific doshas to either increase or decrease causing them to go out of balance.
To maximize our time together, be sure to know what dosha you are and if possible get a sense for which one is vitiated.
Take a dosha quiz to find out. Then get ready to learn to customize your yoga practice to best suit your dosha and your current needs.
During our time together, we will go through the doshas one by one uncovering their signs and symptoms when out of balance, and some general guidelines of how to harmonize them through asana, pranayama, chanting, aromatherapy, colors, and appropriate meditation.
Be ready to move and take a lot of notes!!
