YOGA FOR YOUR DOSHA

Part II of the ¨February Trinity Workshops¨


Revolutionize your Yoga practice/class to suit your physicality, personality, likes, and aversions; a practice that can ultimately bring you closer to a state of Ananda/bliss that only your authentic self knows how. Because to authentically reap the inherited benefits of the practice, it’s important to personalize it to your unique mind-body constitution, AKA dosha.

In Ayurveda, the building blocks of life are comprised of five elements: earth, water, fire, air, and ether. The three DOSHAS —Vata, Pitta, and Kapha—are derived from the five elements. The doshas, known as mind-body types, express particular patterns of energy—each a blend of physical, emotional, and mental characteristics.

Different foods, seasons, situations, exercise, and even yoga poses cause specific doshas to either increase or decrease causing them to go out of balance.

In order to maximize our time together, it is of utmost importance that before you arrive, you know what dosha you are and even better, which one is out of balance. Take a dosha quiz to find out. Then get ready to integrate the tips you learn to individualize your yoga practice to best suit your current state of being.

In this workshop, we will cover each dosha and its properties learning to recognize when they are out of balance and how to bring them back through the right type of practice integratively including asana, pranayama, mantras, scents, and colors.

A dynamic workshop that will assist in designing the right type of nourishing practice for you and your clients incorporating not just asana but pranayama, chanting, aromatherapy and colors.

When: Saturday, February 3d

Time: From 10 am to 2 pm
